SUCE Newsletter - Week 6 Keywords: Academic Talk #2, Build and Bridges competition Hope you have recharged over the Mid-semester break, cuz it's time to get back on the road and grind! SUCE is excited to announce the second seminar in our PEP Academic Seminar Package, featuring Benjy Marks from our School of Civil Engineering.  Join us on Zoom @ 1pm on Wednesday, April 14th, to hear from Benjy and gain insight on 'How to Surf a Snow Avalanche'  Sign Up Now! Mid-semester break’s over so who is in need of refreshing their brains and social interactions? Want to create something fun applying what you learned? Regardless of what year you’re in, team up with a few friends and come to Build and Beers! Build and Beers will be a structural design competition involving both students and faculty members as contestants. In teams of 4-5, you will aim to build the strongest truss bridge out of paddle pop sticks and glue within 2 hours. There will be a networking session afterwards, which will be a great opportunity for you to socialise with your cohort and (possibly) faculty members too  Sign Up Now! Struggling to get PEP hours? Join us on Zoom @5pm on Wednesday 21st of April, to learn more about their respective company's projects, and get a better understanding of what it's like working in these specific fields of civil engineering! Everyone is welcome to attend! This will be released after the final seminar. The NSW Government has designed their Virtual Internship to help you build the skills and confidence needed to pursue a career in the Public Service.
