Interested to know what its like to be a woman in engineering?

🤔 Perhaps, you want to hear a different perspective within the industry? 🤔

LOOK NO FURTHER!

As our final panel for the Academic Series, we collaborated with Women In Engineering for a panel of esteemed women within the industry to share their amazing experiences. From areas of research in data, humanitarian engineering and materials, our panelists are an inspiration to any engineer looking to make their mark in the industry.  🤩🤩🤩

Our panelists include:

Emily Moylan

Dr Moylan is a lecturer at the School of Civil Engineering specializing in analytical models for transport and public infrastructure, hoping to explore the development of such systems to become more aware of major concerns including climate change. Her research delves more deeply into understanding more efficient and multimodal performance measures for transport. She previously completed her PhD in observational astronomy.

Jacqueline Thomas

Dr Thomas is a lecturer at the School of Civil Engineering, specializing in Humanitarian and Environmental Engineering. Building on her background with a Bachelor of Science and Arts from UNSW, she pursues major concerns of water hygiene, sanitation and accessibility for rural communities within Southeast Asia, the Pacific, Indigenous Australian Communities and more.

Gwenaelle Proust

Professor Proust is most known as a Lecturer for CIVL2110/9110 Materials, however, she contributed within the research space for Material Science and Engineering. Her research interests are particularly catered towards the behaviour of materials and their reactions to external pressures/conditions, completing a plethora of papers which include careful experimentation on metals, hydromaterials and much more.

Don’t be afraid to ask them questions and learn more about the industry!

We hope to see you there!
