SUCE - Week 2 Newsletter

Keywords: Academic Seminar #1, iBuild Industry Mentoring.

Want the opportunity of meeting some of the biggest CEO/Managers in industry? Well come along to iBuild's Industry Mentoring event!

Like hearing crunchy things getting crushed? Come listen to our very own Francois Guillard talk about their research into granular materials.

🥣 Do you like crunchy things?

Ever enjoyed the sound of crushing stuff?

Interested in exploring what happens to crunchy materials under load?

SUCE is proud to announce the very first event of our Academic Seminar PEP Package, Crunchy things with François Guillard.

François is a lecturer at the School of Civil Engineering. His research aims at understanding the behaviour of granular materials and brittle porous media such as sand and puffed rice from experiments, numerical simulations, and modelling. Given the use of these materials, instabilities have an important impact on the long-term reliability of structures and equipment as they exhibit specific behaviours under load and when degraded.
