🥣 Do you like crunchy things?
Ever enjoyed the sound of crushing stuff?
Interested in exploring what happens to crunchy materials under load?
SUCE is proud to announce the very first event of our Academic Seminar PEP Package, Crunchy things with François Guillard.
François is a lecturer at the School of Civil Engineering. His research aims at understanding the behaviour of granular materials and brittle porous media such as sand and puffed rice from experiments, numerical simulations, and modelling. Given the use of these materials, instabilities have an important impact on the long-term reliability of structures and equipment as they exhibit specific behaviours under load and when degraded.
CONDITIONS FOR PEP HOURS
Please ensure you sign into Zoom with your university email so that your PEP hours can be approved
You must sign up to the event and attend the Zoom session to obtain PEP hours (no partial hours will be awarded)
